Sagot :

Answer:

The 7th amendment in simple terms is the right of trial by a jury. I don't have a personal aspect on how this affected my life, but it could for other people. The 7th amendment was passed in 1791, the reason why the amendment was passed was because the writers of the "Bill of Rights" were cautious of the government gaining too much power and didn't want government to gain control, and the 7th amendment ratification took place in England by a court case called "Parsons v. Bedford".

I think, in my opinion, the 7th amendment is really good because it prohibit judges who are unfairly bias to people of race or gender in housing or employment. The Bill of Rights were passed by James Madison in 1791, it was the first 10 amendments that got passed. The 1st amendment guarantees the freedom of religion, expression assembly, and petition. The 2nd amendment protects the right to keep and bear arms. the 3rd amendment lets you deny military soldiers (only on your property), and the 3rd amendment also helps with the intrusion of government, government cannot go into your house without a warrant or your consent. The 4th amendment protects your right against government for unreasonable searches, the government or someone who works for government cannot search you without your consent or a warrant. For the 5th amendment, it states that no person should have to answer bad crime unless they're under a grand jury, also under the 5th amendment, it says that a person cannot be tried twice for the same crime. The 6th amendment states that a person shall have the right to a speedy and public trial by the jury in that state or district, the 6th says you have a right to a lawyer/council for your defense, and the right to know your accusers. The 7th amendment states that the value in controversy shouldn't exceed $20, the right of trial by a jury, and the jury cannot accuse you. The 8th amendment protects you from cruel punishment by the jury. The 9th amendment was to assure that the Bill of Rights weren't seen as given to people of the United States and only the rights it addressed. And finally, the 10th amendment, the 10 amendment states that states have the power to set their own laws instead of the United States government holding everything over federal power.
