Someone buys 10 adult tickets and 7 child tickets. They pay $284 for it all together, and the child ticket is 3/5 the price of an adult ticket. How much does each ticket cost?

A simply way to prove this is to split $284 into $200 + $84.  Sfter I did this, I divided $200 by 10, which gave me $20.  Then I went to $84.  $84 divided by 7 is $12.  This all adds up and you can reverse it with multiplication if you aren't convinced.  (10)$20 + (7)$12 = $284.  $12 is also 3/5 of $20- forgot to add that ;-;
