During the age of exploration, Spain gained a reputation as a powerful empire that
conquered large parts of Latin America through their superior technology, skills, and
(as they said) because "God was on their side." Why is that claim a bit exaggerated?

O The natives were more easily conquered because European diseases killed missions of
indigenous people.
O Native and European technology was mostly equal, so what mattered was how it was used
differently.
O The natives and the Spanish worshipped the same God, so any claims that Spain was favored
were illogical
O Spain was only able to conquer much of Latin America after the British had already taken over
most of the land before the Spanish even arrived.
