In order to study well, have a set spot in which you only study. This place should be away from where you spend most of your time. A study, desk, library, etc. Never do anything else there but studying or homework. This allows your mind to switch into the "thinking gear" so you can start work easily.  

Also, create a list of everything you need to get done and gradually work your way down. Try to do the hard/long/boring things first because you are most likely to get it done best from the start. Happy studying!
