He was also friends with Saul, as he was brought in to the palace, to calm Sauls anger with his music. David connects to Christians as he is very important to God in the Bible, and he is viewed as a warrior, who put his trust in God. He is important in Judaism as David helped the Jews win a battle against the Phillestiens by killing Goliath, and protecting Israel.
