Sagot :
I'm going to assume the time period you are talking about is is right after the signing of the Magna Carta.
The three key rights in the Magna were Freedom of Speech and Expression, Freedom of The Judiciary and Political Freedom, and Physical Freedom.
The law would be more strictly enforced across a larger area, the law would become less arbitrary(right to quick, fair, and just trials), and the rulers must also be UNDER, not ABOVE the law.(The enforcement of what is written is debatable.)
The amount of free speech in the Magna was unfortunately pretty limited. Speaking against authority was forbidden and dangerous. Mostly, you were only allowed to speak against your fellow man. If a government could have people view what you were saying as dangerous, or violent revenge, your freedoms could be revoked.
Then there are Physical Freedoms. This basically declares you can't just imprison or take stuff from a random guy unless you got some good evidence and you aren't allowed to bribe people.*
*(Unless you bribe them with ALOT of money. Even today many cases are won by the richer party hiring better lawyers or throwing money at the judges, or even threats so this section of the Magna was clearly never enforced unless convenient.)
