Ban Ki-Moon, the 8th  Secretary-General of the United Nations in 2013 gave a remarkable speech in remembrance of those who had died as a result of the Holocaust.

The textual evidence from his speech to explain why he believes that hate speech or language is at the root of the problems are indicated as follows:
