The ability of scientists to come to their own conclusions rather than deferring to instilled authority confirmed the capabilities and worth of the individual. Negative : Exponentially accelerated scientific advancement. Where not applied carefully, can have a negative impact on our health (physical and mental) and environments(social and ecological) . Natural evolution (specifically our brains) and Mother Earth just cannot keep up.
