Sagot :

  • Let the breadth of the rectangle be x cm
  • lenght of the rectangle = ( x + 5 ) cm

perimeter of the rectangle = 2 ( l + b )

  • 2 ( x + x + 5 ) cm
  • 2 ( 2x + 5') cm
  • ( 4x + 10 ) cm

4x + 10 = 40

4x = 40 10 ( transpose 10 to RHS )

x = 30/4 = 7.5 ( divide both sides by 4 )

  • lenght of the rectangle = x + 5 = 7.5 + 5 = 12.5 cm
  • breadth of the rectangle = x = 7.5 cm

  • Breadth be x
  • Length be x+5

  • Length=12.5cm
  • Breadth=7.5cm
