An example of a paradox can be seen when Georgina claims that danger means nothing to her.

We can arrive at this answer because:

  • Georgiana has a birthmark on her face.
  • She feels very bad about this mark because it hurts her self-esteem and makes her sad and embarrassed.
  • For that reason, she insisted that her husband do anything that would allow her to remove that mark from her face.
  • She doesn't mind that it's dangerous, because, to her, the danger has no meaning as long as she gets rid of the birthmark.

This is an example of a paradox because it allows two opposing concepts to be presented together. Danger means something very serious, but Georgiana says it doesn't mean anything.
