Birth rates are a major factor because it is a continuous way for a population to grow, if you have low birth rates and high morality (Death rates) a population wont be balanced and death would largely out number the morality rate and time span of a population. That being the older population dies quickly because there is no younger populations to help them. This can lead to extinction too. Immigration is a population or group moving to the current one, it impacts population because its a very large group of new species being introduced to the current one adding numbers. This can also be bad because some immigrated species could be invasive and kill or take over the current/native species.
