-1/3x + 3 = x + 7

       -3  =      -3    

-1/3x    =   x + 4  

- x      =   -x        

-1  1/3x =   4

 - 4/3x  = 4            Changed -1 1/3x to -4/3x

   x    =  4/ -4/3

  x =  -3

  y = x + 7

  y = -3 + 7
