What is an equation of the line that passes through the points (-6, 5) and (6, -7)?

Plz answer

Sagot :

We can put this into point-slope form, and then put this into slope-intercept form. Firstly, we need to find the slope. The slope is -12/12. This means it is -1. I found this by using y2-y1/x2-x1.

Next, we use point-slope form. Point-slope form is y-y1=m(x-x2). I will use the coordinate (-6, 5). y-5=-1(x-(-6) is y-5=-x-6. Once we solve for y, we get y=-x-1.

The answer is y=-x-1
