Mary looked at her alarm clock. It read 8:30 a.m. Mary shot out of bed.
She had a basketball game at 9:00 a.m. She rushed to the bathroom and
washed her face and brushed her teeth. Next, she put her hair in a
ponytail. After that, she ran down the stairs. Her mom gave her a banana
to eat in the car and her water bottle. Mary tied the laces on her shoes and
rushed out the door. Finally, she got in the car, and she looked at herself
and realized she forgot one step.
