Using your favorite search engine, search for the Supreme Court's official website. On the website look for recent court decisions (also called "opinions of the court").

Once you find the court's decisions made during this current term, choose one of the cases to find the answers to the questions given below. The case may be lengthy so pay close attention to the first page or two and then skim the rest.

Who are the parties in this case? Who is the petitioner(s)? Who is the respondent(s)?
What is the case number?
When was the case argued? When was it decided?
List a few basic facts of the case.
What was the main issue being decided?
What is the holding of the case?
Who delivered the majority opinion? Which Justices joined this opinion?
Who delivered the dissenting opinion? Which Justices joined the dissenting opinion?
List at least three cases that Justices in the majority referred to, and at least three cases that the Justices in the dissent cited.
In a maximum of three paragraphs, explain which way you would have voted.
