The wooden horse helped the Greeks to take the city of Troy. After ten years of attacking the walls of Troy, the Greek heroes climbed into the wooden horse and shut the the hidden door carefully. Later, the rest of the Greek army broke camp and sailed away. They pretended to go home, leaving the wooden horse on the beach as a gift Then, they sailed a short distance and hid their ships behind an island. The next morning, the guards near the walls of Troy could not see a single Greek ship, just the gigantic wooden honestood there. What could it be? When they discovered the big surprise, it was too late
