Your teacher will know what they mean because of the legend! If you're not on a time crunch, you can skim paragraphs, add general ideas, take a "brain break" (I hate that word but couldn't think of another way to phrase it), and come back later to analyze specific paragraphs. It helps me stay focused, and it might help you too!
