1. In the story of "Dead stars" By Paz Marquez-Benitez, the undesirable act Alfredo performed was to allow infatuation to rule him momentarily when he left engaged Esperanza to fli.t with attractive Julia and also lie about the whole situation to both Esperanza and Julia.

Why is Alfredo's action undesirable in the Dead Stars?

The action of Alfredo remained an undesirable act because it ran against the marriage institution, to which he was committed through his formal engagement with Esperanza.

2. Women's love can be blinding and confounding. Being torn between the love of two women, every Alfredo would act out the same role until normalcy returns to the conscience.
