Pros of not following a vegetarian diet include having a healthful diet while getting all of the nutrients your body needs and eating how your body has evolved for you to eat, while health risks and cons of not following a vegetarian diet include feeling guilty or morally wrong, and a higher risk of diseases. As amazing as either diet may sound to you, neither are completely perfect. Each diet poses issues to world food security and sustainable development. Following a vegetarian diet may actually end up hurting the environment more than it may help the environment. Following a vegetarian diet may lead to a loss of income for farmers and overpopulation in animals. On the flip side, not following a vegetarian diet may lead to a rise in cardiovascular-related deaths and overconsumption of certain animals. Many countries rely on meat as part of their diet, so by going completely vegetarian, these countries may suffer. However, by not going vegetarian we could one day run out of farmland and starve due to our rapidly increasing population.
