The subgenre of jazz i chose was swing music. Swing music has roots in the 1920s as larger dance music ensembles began using new styles of written arrangements incorporating rhythmic innovations pioneered by Louis Armstrong and Earl Hines. Some elements that are found in this type of music are complicated dancing (swing dancing,) a unique tempo/rhythme, and traditional pop music, jump blues, and bebop jazz.
