Autonomy is having freedom to make your own choices. When you have autonomy, you are often more inspired, creative, and excited. If you practice using autonomy, even in small ways, you will be ready for greater autonomy later in your life.


Assignment


For your assignment, you will be given autonomy.


Select anything that you want to learn about. It could be a hobby, one of your dreams, or even your favorite sports team.

Choose one of the following:

Create a video between 2 and 4 minutes long about what you selected.

Write a 3-paragraph essay about what you selected. Each paragraph should have at least four complete sentences.

Create a drawing or art piece about what you selected.

Create a multimedia presentation about what you selected. (For example, PowerPoint)

Make up your own way to share what you have learned.

In one to two complete sentences, describe how having choice on this assignment felt to you.

This is really simple! I recommend doing a drawing, even if you don't have any artistic talent. You can choose any topic, but here's some suggestions: your favorite animal, your favorite location, something you like to do, etc. Draw your topic and/or anything related to it. For the last question something like "I enjoyed having freedom on this assignment because it made it much more fun" would be good!
