Sagot :

Answer:

1. 9/24 = 0.375 ounces

You have 9 ounces of clay that make up 24 pieces therefore you need to divide the 9 by 24 to work out how much clay is used for one piece

2. X=7

To solve the equation you want x to be on its own. To do this you need to minus the 5 from the left. But what you do to one side you must do to the other so x=7 because 12-5=7

3. 3y-1

To get three times yvonnes age you need to multiple y by 3 making it 3y. You then need to take off one year which quite simply makes the expression 3y-1

4. 18/3= 6mm

You divide the total depth by the number of hours to get 6mm.

5. 3x3=9 yards

6 skirts is three times as many skirts as 2 skirts (6/2=3) and because Laura uses 3 yards for every 2 skirts you multiple 3 by 3 to get the 9 yards

Hope this helps :)
