Management would give workers very long days like 12 hour days 6 days of the week. They would also put their workers in crowed rooms with little to no room to actually work. And on top of it they werent paid well at all. Working conditions were horrible to there were many health factors that came into play that were very dangerous. Many people died working to support their families. And they didnt even die for much.
