hi! the Great Depression often led to the separation of families, as the males often left their families by getting on trains - hence the creation of hobos. additionally, the Depression led to the creation of hoovervilles (aka the new slums) where poverty was illustrated greatly. bread and soup lines were common, and some people even got hired by the day!
