Wolves are a familiar animal in stories and movies. They are usually bad animals. Some people think wolves are dangerous to people. But is this the truth? Wolves eat sheep and people don’t like that because they’re raising the sheep for themselves and some wolves can even take down cattle. Wolves make scary howls that can frighten people. But a sound can’t hurt you!

A. “I agree that most people think wolves are bad, but you haven’t told us why you think they’re good.”

B. “I like your point that people think of wolves as bad when they really aren’t so bad. You need to state it more clearly, though.”

C. “Your point seems to be that wolves are considered dangerous when really, we’ve just been taught to fear them.”

D. “Wolves have to be bad. They have such long teeth! Besides, there are so many of them.”
