14. Read the following passage before answering!
Even with my eyes closed, I can tell there's not much room to wiggle. I open my eyes and see what looks like a wall only a few inches from my nose. I've never seen a white wall that looked so dark and dismal in all
my life. Is that hair on the left side? I thought this was supposed to be a sterile environment. Wondering if I should have gotten a second opinion, I try to sit up but abruptly hit my head.
"Please lie down, Ms. Hayes. You must lie completely still until we are finished with the MRI the technician booms
"Are you okay?" asks the nurse.
"Yes," I moaned. My head is beginning to ache. I can't see much of anything, so I'm forced to look straight ahead at the wall above me. Is it just me, or is it starting to cave in? My heart starts to beat faster
"Ms. Hayes, I need you to take a deep breath and exhale slowly. Close your eyes and try to calm down. If you relax, this won't take long
I take another deep breath and exhale trying to focus on happier times, like when this procedure is over.
