What is violence?
Violence refers to aggressive behavior followed by an individual or group of people which creates a loss of property and damage and also injures the health of people. The cause of this violence is when there is a disagreement between people.
The sequence of the order will be followed to see the development and effects of violence against African-Americans in the south.
1. Many Southerners disliked the sight of black people voting and occupying positions of power.
2. Southern Democrats attempted to prevent black people from voting or holding elected office by using legal measures.
3. Whites begin to engage in political violence.
4. There are three methods for preventing people from voting. grandfather clause, vote tax, and education.
5. Grant dispatches troops to the South in order to safeguard the right to vote.
