How do you explain that World War II, in some ways, brought about more opportunity for people of color, and yet at the same time brought about so much racial strife and violence? Provide at least one example of greater opportunity, and one example of racial violence in America.

Sagot :

Answer: Native Americans joined World War II because they felt a sense of duty, even thought the States was not kind to them. Many Native Americas received medals of Honor and much more, but the war on people of color still continued. While Native Americans were praised for their efforts, Americans with anti-Indian ideologies believed that they should not contributed to the war effort. They were believed to have polluted the American population and many faced violent hate crimes.
