Why was Jesus selfless?

Jesus is known to be the savior of the world because he had the needs of the people above others.

He was interested in them, healed them, gave them food and even thought them.

The most interesting thing I learned in the translation of the Bible, especially in regard to the original languages is that God is interested in mankind including I and thus it shows Gods love to me.

I believe that the teachings of Jesus in the 1st Century can be applied in the 21st Century as Jesus has not change and his words remain the same and cannot be altered so one can still teach it.
