  3. Polythene bags should not be thrown along with garbage as they are non biodegradable and can mix with the soil but cannot decompose....these when eaten by animals like cows can choke them leading to death.... Also as they do not decompose they can mix with the soil leading to soil pollution.

The substances used to produce such fibres are extracted from raw materials such as chemicals based on petroleum or petrochemicals. Such materials are polymerized into a chemical that ties together two adjacent atoms of carbon.
