Here given two ratios are 7:16 and 6:8.

The ratio 7:16 simplifies that 7 cells are shaded from 16 number of cells.

similarly, 6:8 simplifies that 7 cells are shaded from 8 number of cells.

As 6:8 and 7:16 can be written as in the fraction form which are 6/8 and 7/16.

Then multiply 2 in both denominator and numerator of 6:8 will be

6/8= 12/16

Now comparing between 12/16 and 7/16

12/16 > 7/16 as the denominator is same and the numerator is greater in 12/16.
