American Imperialism and its Impacts

American imperialism refers to the policies of the United states which is channeled at  expanding the political, economic, media and cultural influence of the United States to other nations.

    This may include some measure which are available to the US government such as military conquest, gunboat diplomacy, unequal treaties, subsidization of preferred factions, economic penetration through private companies followed by a diplomatic or forceful intervention when those interests are threatened.

   

   Of particular interest is the use of economic might and Military forces to foster this conquest. These two aforementioned tools are potent measure in fostering American interests overseas.
