The aquatic animals are those animals that live, reproduce and survive in the water while human survive in the terrestrial ecosystem.

Due to the difference in the ecosystem existing between the aquatic animals and humans, they have different respiratory system that functions differently too.

The aquatic animals possess gills which can absorb oxygen from water while the human has lungs which allows the diffuser of oxygen with release of carbon dioxide.
