I was doing a past paper and came across this,I know one (long) way of doing this and was just wondering if anyone could show me a shorter way!!!

Sagot :

If you divide a polynomial [tex]P(x)[/tex] by a binomial [tex]x-c[/tex], then the remainder is equal to [tex]P(c)[/tex].

[tex]c=-3\\R(x)=P(-3)\\ R(x)=(-3)^3-11\cdot(-3)+10\\ R(x)=-27+33+10\\ R(x)=16[/tex]
