Not everyone is capable of fulfilling the role of the elder. Not everyone is able to fill the roles of elders because many of these roles require knowledge and experience.
Both older people and older characters have responsibilities related to the experiences they have had in life. These experiences promote the skills necessary for elders to fulfill their roles in different branches of society.
These experiences take place as follows:

Through the qualification promoted by some type of activity.
Through different works.
Through studies.
As people go through different experiences throughout their lives, we can conclude that people are capacities with different abilities, to fulfill different roles and therefore cannot fulfill each other's roles. Especially in relation to elders, who have gone through many different experiences throughout their lives.
