I must write an essay for my English work, I have everything EXCEPT my counterclaim.
Please write me a counterclaim (a simple paragraph) for the next question:
"Is heroism a component of human nature that we all share?"

My thesis statement is that heroism IS a component of human nature that we all share, and heroes do exist in reality.

An idea for what the counterclaim may be is how when people hear the word "hero," everyone pictures someone who saves the world, fights crime, or has superpowers. Therefore, people think that heroes only exist in comics and movies and such.

Sagot :

Here you go! I hope I’ve done my job well :).

Counterclaim response:
Heroism is definitely a component of human nature. Let’s say a person saves the life of an innocent bystander that would’ve been in severe injuries had that person not been present. Commonly, the given label for that individual would be: “A brave hero.” Which would be true, considering that they put their life on the life in order to save another. Sure, we may not have superpowers to rely on for help. However, it is a label that has been used for years to show attract the similarities of a hero from either a comic or movie, and apply it to the real world.
