Monosaccharides are the building blocks of polysaccharides.  When several monosaccharide monomers are linked together, a complex carbohydrate polymer known as a polysaccharide is made. Starch, which serves as plants' primary means of storing energy, is one of the most well-known polysaccharides. The majority of human diets are based on starch. Higher starch percentage foods include corn, soybeans, rice, and bread. We can also give another example of polysaccharides or (many repeated unit of saccharides) that is  glycogen. Glycogen is stored food in animal which is made up of small units known as monomers.
