The final phase of translation, called termination, is signaled by three nucleotides, called a Stop codon that mark the end of a polypeptide chain.
The process of translation involves attaching of different codons that code for different amino acids that make up a polypeptide chain. The process is said to be complete when a stop codon like UAA, UAG, and UGA attaches to tRNA thus not coding for any amino acid as a result terminating the polypeptide chain.
Some start codons are also present that helps in the initiation of the chain of polypeptide called start codon like AUG which also coincidently codes for methionine an amino acid.
