A train started from a station 11 minutes late, and went at 10 miles per hour to the next station, which is 1 1/2 miles away, and there it stopped for 14 1/2 minutes. A man reached the station 12 minutes after the trains scheduled arrival and then walked to the next station at 4 miles per hour. Did he succeed in catching the train? Why or why not?
