The marine fog in this region maintains the perfect condition for these trees to grow by adding moisture to the soil.
Many tourists visiting California list the Giant Redwoods as a part of their itinerary. These towering giants are some of the most awe inspiring trees on the earth. Giant redwoods are very often mistaken for Sequoias. They are actually two very different species.
