PLEASE BE SURE TO WATCH THE CHAPTER 4 PRACTICE QUIZ REVIEW VIDEO BEFORE COMPLETING THIS ASSIGNMENT. PLEASE FOLLOW ALONG WITH THE CHAPTER 4 MS PROJECT WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS DOCUMENT TO SEE HOW TO INPUT THE DATA INTO MICROSOFT PROJECT.

Q36. Draw a network diagram representing the following logic for a project: as the project starts, Steps A and B can be performed concurrently. When Step A is finished, Steps C and D can start. When Step B is finished, Steps E and F can start. When Steps D and E are finished, Step G can start. When Step C is finished, Step H can start. Step I can start when Steps H, G, and F are finished. Steps J, K, and L can start when Step I is finished. Step M can start when Steps J and K are finished. Step N can start when Steps M and L are finished. Step P can start when Step N is complete. The project is completed when Step P is finished. NOTE: UNDER THE FILES TAB IN THE COURSE FILES FOLDER, I HAVE INCLUDED A FILE "CHAPTER 4 QUIZ DIAGRAM" WITH A SKETCH OF THE NETWORK DIAGRAM. THE CHAPTER 4 PRACTICE QUIZ VIDEO ALSO REVIEWS THE DIAGRAM.

You will use your network diagram to create a project in MS Project. Each Step should be considered a work breakdown structure (WBS) with activities that should be done. Each Step has two tasks that must be done in sequence. Step A has the tasks Assess A1 and Assess A2 that must be done in sequence. Since each Step is a WBS, the completion of the tasks determines when the work associated with the WBS (Step) is finished. Step B has tasks Assess B1 and Assess B2 that must be done in sequence. Likewise, Step C has tasks Assess C1 and Assess C2 that must be done in sequence. Follow the same logic for the two tasks associated with the other Steps. Allan is responsible for completing the tasks in Steps A, E, I, and J. Bob is responsible for completing the tasks in Steps B, F, K, and L. Carol is responsible for completing the tasks in Steps C, H, and P. Danny is responsible for completing the tasks in Steps D, G, M, and N.

Follow the steps in the pdf document titled "Chapter 4 MS Project Written Instructions" in the Week #2 Module to build your project. The instructions are for the practice quiz but the practice quiz is identical to this graded quiz except for the file name and the data values. Save the file as "Class Assessment Project Ch4" (don't include the quotation marks in the filename or title). It's important to follow the file naming directions as you will be setting baselines and you may have to go back to a previous baseline if you make an error. Make the title of your project "Class Assessment Project". You will make changes to this project for future assignments. Use a Start date of 1/10/22. Follow the instructions to display the project name as Task 0 when you are in the Task tab with the Gantt Chart view. LIST THE STEPS (WBSs) IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER BEGINNING WITH STEP A, FOLLOWED BY STEP B, STEP C ETC. Be sure to include the tasks after each step such as Assess A1 and Assess A2 after Step A. When a task has more than one predecessor, list the predecessors in order from the lowest value to the highest value. MS Project can handle the predecessors in any order but your quiz/exam questions are based on you entering the predecessors in ascending order. For example, if the predecessors to a task are task ids 5, 6, and 9, you would list the predecessors in the table as 5,6,9 with no spacing. Please note that a work breakdown structure (WBS) such as Step A, Step B etc. DOES NOT HAVE PREDECESSORS. ONLY THE TASKS WITHIN THE WBS HAVE PREDECESSORS. Continue through all the steps to the end of the written instructions. Be sure to set a baseline and save your project information.

After completing all the steps, use your chart to respond to the following questions (Q36 - Q50) by writing your responses. To get the correct answers, you must write your answers EXACTLY as the information is displayed on your chart. The task id is the number to the far left on the Gantt chart view. It's the number you use to determine your predecessor for a task. If you are asked for the predecessor for the task "Assess D1", write your answer as 10 for example, or 3,7,11 if the task had three predecessors.
