This is an intense debate in ecology, precisely the presence and use of GMO (genetically modified organism), as it is explained in the text they can be detrimental to the environment du to the "scape" of the altered genes, as well as many scientists support the benefits of GMO's many other opposed mainly by ecological and ethical reasons.
