Question 1: In class, we have spent a great deal of time talking about alternatives to taxation. One popular alternative is
privatization. Instead of the government taking your money and spending it on things that are good for you, privatization
lets you instead spend money on what you think is important. Instead of paying taxes to fund public schools, taxpayers
would instead spend their money on private schools for their children. Instead of funding public roads and highways, roads
would be privately owned and taxpayers would instead pay tolls to use them. Is privatization a good or bad alternative to
taxation? Why? A good answer will include at least two distinct reasons.
