3x+2y=5
2x-2y=5
i got 2 so i kind of know how to do it but not that sure yet on how to do the whole equation

Sagot :

add  the 2 equations together and cancel out the y terms
3x+2x+2y-2y=5+5
5x=10
divide both sdies by 5
x=2
subsitute x=2 in any equation, i will use the first one
3(2)+2y=5
6+2y=5
subtract 6 from both sdies
2y=-1
divide both sdies by 2
y=-1/2

x=2
y=-1/2
