Betty’s parents earn over a million dollars a year. They pay $30,000 a year for Betty to attend a private school, hire tutors and make sure that she has every possible educational advantage. Betty finds out about a scholarship open to students living in a particular low-income neighborhood and tells her parents about the scholarship. The parents rent a vacant apartment in the neighborhood to have mailing address there, Betty applies for the scholarship and her grades and test scores earn her the scholarship.
