9) A circle with a radius of 3 is translated left 3, horizontally dilated by a factor of 1/2, and vertically dilated by a factor of 2. Write the equation of the transformed circle; simplify all of the factors
but do not foil the terms.
A. 4(x + 3)² + 1/4(y)² = 9
B. 1/4(x − 3)² + 4(y)² = 9
C. 1/2(x + 3)² + 2(y)² = 9
D. 4(x - 3)² + 1/4(y)² = 9

The answer is A but can someone please show me how it’s A and not C. To clarify why did the 1/2 change into a 4 and 2 change into a 1/4?
