What intermolecular forces are found in carbon disulfide, CS2? O Dipole-dipole forces O Dispersion forces O lon-dipole bondingO Hydrogen bonding

Sagot :

The intermolecular forces that are found in carbon disulfide CS2 is two bond diploes.

What is intermolecular forces?

Intermolecular forces are the forces that are between to of  molecules. And so that's different from an to the relative  intramolecular force, whichever is the force within a molecule.

London dispersion forces supposedly have the least by its  strength out of all the intermolecular forces. But of  CS2, which has only the  dispersion forces, has a higher boiling point (and thus stronger and the  intermolecular forces) than COS, which has dipole-dipole attraction in to the addition to dispersion forces.

I suppose that it had something to do with CS2 having a thicker/more than  inducible electron shell, but it is  then a new question arises: how would you know if the dispersion forces in one molecule are stronger of  that the dipole-dipole forces in another.
