Odysseus triumphantly returns to Ithaca to restore his kingdom and family. He overcame many obstacles and never gave up on his dreams.
Odysseus had been gone for much too long. He spent decades attempting to return home, and his wife, children, and even his servants were all desperate to see him. They all mourned him and throughout the time he was away, not only had they never given up hope that he'd return home, but you can see that his son respected Odysseus by attempting to get rid of the suitors (his son). When he returns home, he is greeted with open arms. And he and his son kill people who were disturbing his family in his house.
