why does acid precipitation weather rocks faster then Normal precipitation

Sagot :

Acid has a ph different of normal precipitation which is acid free. The difference in ph corrodes the rocks. I don't believe acid rain weathers the rocks, but rather corrodes them.
AL2006

Because some of the minerals in the rocks are more soluble
in slightly acidic water than they are in neutral water.
