How did Egyptian rulers govern their empire

Sagot :

The pharoahs were believed to be very important. They organized Egypt into social classes like a pyramid, from top to bottom. Basically, they were:
First: Pharoah
Second: Government Officials
Third: priest
Fourth: Scribe
Fifth: Artisan
Last: Peasant/Slave
The first class was respected the most and the respect lessened as your class got lower. Also  it was required that one man from each family, (sometimes people would send their slaves) to go off and do service for Egypt such as: cleaning the land, serving in the army, so on.

Hope this helped, Thanks! :)
